Wear Characteristics and Maintenance Tips: Deflectors for Shredders

The front rubber crop deflector is standard equipment on all John Deere shredders except the 220 Flail Shredder.  Steel deflectors are used on the 220.  The deflectors are designed to deflect material back into the machine and away from the operator.

Safety tip: Damaged or missing deflectors should be replaced to protect the operator from deflected material.
